"Science fiction predicted that in this year, 2020, we would have flying cars, a moon colony and possibly time travel. The way we were moving forward was leading us to total connection to the Internet and dependence on machines.  What happened was we became more connected.   We began using Tablets, A company named global surpassed Apple, Samsung, Asus and Google.  We use them to pay for goods, hold our vital information, tell us how to feel about anyone we meet, give us access to our own homes and vehicles, let us communicate to people twenty-four seven or completely shut people out. You receive a score based on basic life achievements from "First steps" to "Running a marathon" everything can be evaluated and scored for our social status. They are what gives us total control over our lives, and they can take it away.  That is how arrest warrants come through to the police, how we apply for jobs or even how we even apply for medical attention, as if it was a competition against other people. Global has a firm hold on our lives and we are barely even noticing.  Is the way we progressed really improving our lives or is it pitting us against each other?"

This sequence is a voiceover that showcases what happens in this world with many different shots of people using tablets for the reasons stated, it ends showing the classroom in a science class that has all of the students holding a global device then marking Josh down in his mark and overall rating for talking bad about the company you hear the teacher making comments on the presentation over a shot of Philippa marking Josh higher.

Scene 2

The shot follows Josh and Philippa (who rushes to catch up with him) in a crowded hallway The two discuss how Josh refuses to censor himself in a society that offending one person can make everyone dislike you.

"Hey wait up!... Josh.. Josh!, Wow you walk fast. Your presentation today was outstanding"
"Excuse me?"
"Like, it was a very interesting opinion on how the world works today. It was a very brave thing to talk about."
"Well it needed to be said…. The world today is becoming crazy with this way of being controlled by Global and I will not believe that I am to be judged so mercilessly by other people"
"You know that if they can prove what you said they could cut you out… they have the power to control your profiles, to control what you can do."
"I'm not going to censor myself just because some company thinks they can control what I can do.  They don't have any official power to take anything away from me.  And it is unreasonable to be denied any rights based on rating."
"I'm looking at your rating now and it just went down 2% since yesterday, you have to stop trying to prove your point! Nobody is going to stick up for you!  Why would they risk their own rating?"
"Just because I say what I think and believe to a group of people means that the entire world should hate me for it? So I say one true thing and now what? I'm an outcast? What a fantastic world we live in."
"Just listen to me Josh, if you don't stop they will have you removed from us."
(cutting her off) "I have to go to work"




SCENE 3
This scene takes place at staples. Josh is at work talking to Eden about the new world that they are living in.  It is clear that Eden is in favor of the technology any seems a tad odd, like he knows to much.  The shots take place in front of the tablets.

Eden
"So I heard about you presentation.."
Josh
(Cutting him off) "Who told you?! As if its out already."
"Already scanned your reviews… but its also on twitter."
"I kinda figured.."
"I don't get why you don't like the connection.  It was bound to happen, we all have the desire to interface with eachther, and now we have full control over how we do, how can it be that bad?
"I just think its taking away from how we talk, we are so dumb.  People aren't challenging eachother, or growing.  They can't talk about anything critical in fear of being judged."
(Cutting him off) "That's how it should be.  If you are harming others, you deserve to be hated."
(Angrily) "Hated!  I have an opinion and I am hated."
(Cutting him off) "There is a time and a place.  You have constant access to places on the internet to voice those opinions with others.  No to the person who doesn't believe it.'"
"you don't think that maybe we need to look at things subjectively to progress!"
"Why, we already know what's right."
"You don't know anything! You know how to side-step critical issues and not offend anyone!"
Quiet.

Scene 4 Josh walks into the school looks over and sees Toby getting beat up by Brayden. He scans Toby and sees that his ratings are very low. Shot of contemplation on Josh's face deciding weather he should stick up for him or not. He doesn't.
Josh sits alone eating. Karissa walks up, sits down and jokingly scans him.   Josh looks up in disgust.  Karissa has a surprised look on her face. Obvious awkwardness. Fight begins..

Have you seen your rating, its been dropping…
Josh
Ya its at 68 I know
No its 61… 60?
What? It just dropped?
Ya, and no one has rated you, its still dropping.
A glitch?
… 59
let me see
No!
This is just ridiculous, This company Is driving me up the wall. You know I saw a poor innocent boy getting beat up this morning –
Did you help?
I was concerned over my rating… (sad admittance)
Your 58?
NO MY 68!... but now it doesn't matter…
Well if you hang out with me we could raise it back up… I mean I have the prefect rating!

THIS IS BULLSHIT! (josh uses Flip table, and flees the battle)
(Under breath) And he wonders why he has been suspended… (Marks him down).

Josh wakes up
Looks over tv screen is broken (green text)
Josh picks up tablet it is the same.

Josh is driving police siren goes off and lights

Josh opens window and Tristan scans him.

"I do, I… Can I see?"
"No.  I cant give you this for security reasons.
So what are you gonna do."
"Oh I have my physical card."
"hm.. listen These are to easy to fake.. I'll let you drive home with a warning.  But after that."
"yes.. thank you… sorry"

Scene 9
Josh at home outside pulls out phone
Enters Philippa's number Puts lips to ear.
"This phone does not have service, we apologize for any inconvenience
Throws phone, freaks out

Scene 10

Philippa sits in her study again
Random people
Did you hear about Bobby B.?
Ya there is an arrest warrant posted for him
It says here that if you find him you get $10000
Philippa grabs her bag and starts running
Cut to hallway
Philippa turns into hallway phone to ear
"Call me if you can.."
Abrrupt stop, Eden in hallway
"No way, you going after Bobby too?? Lets get him!  Let me come with!""
Grins

Philippa slaps Eden, runs
"I can ruin you too!"

Josh in backyard
"Dammit"
Back door is locked, Josh tried

"He's not here, the lights aren't on"

The voices are coming from the front
Strains to hear
"Who did he kill?"

The word bobby repeats, until Bobby Snaps out of it.
Looks back Philippa is in a vehicle.
"C,MON!"
Josh runs to vehicle.
Gets in back.
Philippa
"It was Edan, we have to get out of town."
"Why , leaving wont fix my rating!"
"I know what will, we have to go to Global now!
"Ok I will drive"
"We cant risk having you in the open, lay down we will be there soon."
